Sea Biscuit, is an Echinoderm and is extremely similar to the Sand Dollar. Sea Biscuits are adapted for burrowing under and over the sand. When alive thier bodies are covered in numerous tiny spines that help it move about and gather food. Their somewhat flattened shapes - particularly pronounced in the case of the Sand Dollar, allow them to slide slowly beneath the surface of the sand and collect minute particles of vegatative matter to consume. This wonderful graphite sculpture is a work of art as well as a playful writing instrument. Made from composites and pure graphite this sculpture can be used to write or draw on multiple mediums or collected and displayed as an art piece. Measures 3" by 2"
