Dan Dunn has been an artist all his life. He began selling his paintings from the back of a bicycle while still a youth in Florida. Since moving to Oregon he has continued to develop his craft and is now a highly sought after "maritime artist." Dan's themes sometimes appear "dark," but there is always a "bright spot" visible in his work. Dan delights in painting working fishing vessels, sea-going tugs or sailboats generally in the face of stormy seas. His more tranquil--and often mystical--pieces are as bold and dramatic as his seascapes and ships. Dan is a professional boat builder who is currently working on his "retirement yacht", but he continues to paint strong pieces.
