Tom Torrens has taken the art of bell making to new--and often unexpected--heights. Tom's "materials of choice" are old oxy or acetalene tanks that have out-lived their original purpose. The natural bell-like shapes is perfect for the refining touches from Tom and his production crew. The bells suspend from wall-mounts, or they may be free-standing creation. Each bell produces a unique tone, but all are reminiscent of Japanes Temple bells. The bells lend themselves to quiet, meditative places in gardens or entryways. Tom has an extensive array of "regular" pieces, but he also can be commissioned to do special projects.
